Business Support Administrator

This varied role will be predominantly supporting the Service, Engineering, Training and Finance departments, carrying out various administrative tasks to assist with the successful day-to-day running of the business.

There is fantastic scope for the right candidate to develop the role and play an instrumental part in the continued growth of the business.

Location:
RSP UK headquarters is at Unit 1 High Barns Farm, Bedford Road, Roxton, Bedfordshire, MK44 3ET.

Position duration:
Permanent, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm, 40 hours per week.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail, answering the telephone and general queries by email in the Service team; answering the front door.
  • Updating and maintaining manual and computerised systems and records in accordance with the Service team’s internal policies/procedures using advanced Excel skills.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of RSP by having a clear understanding of the business support tasks and performance targets.
  • Support the Delivery Team Leader with operational tasks.
  • Support the wider team with general administrative duties.
  • Act as the first point of contact for enquiries into the service team email inbox and telephone.
  • Ensure all referrals into the Service team are triaged and allocated in line with Service department’s requirements and standards.
  • Provide a high quality and responsive administrative function for the Service department.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes required:

  • GCSE 4 in Maths and English.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
  • Knowledge of using SharePoint and managing dashboards.
  • Experience with SAGE (desirable).
  • Demonstrable technical aptitude and ability to adapt to new software and tools.
  • Methodical approach to tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Efficient organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Proactive problem-solver with the capacity to troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Able to show initiative, follow instructions and work to deadlines.
  • Quick to learn and able to retain knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Flexibility in approach, with the ability to adapt from task to task.
  • Show reliability, commitment, and loyalty to the business.
  • Carry out all tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard.
