Road Sweeper Sales Executive

The Road Sweeper Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales of our road sweeping equipment. This role involves identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of road sweeping equipment.

Location:
Based at Unit 1 High Barns Farm, Bedford Road, Roxton, Bedfordshire, MK44 3ET. Candidates must live within 1.5 hours of Roxton.

Position/duration:
Permanent, full-time.

Duties/responsibilities:

Sales generation:

  • Identify and target potential customers through research, networking, and market analysis.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotes.

Customer relationship management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Address customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure continued customer engagement and retention.

Market analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Identify and report on new market opportunities and potential areas for growth.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs, product features, and market conditions.

Collaboration and reporting:

  • Work closely with the technical support team to ensure a seamless transition from sale to implementation.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market trends for management review.

Product Knowledge:

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s road sweeper products, including features, benefits, and applications.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide product training and support to customers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Qualification in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent sales experience.
  • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the road sweeping or heavy machinery industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse customer base.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with customers and attend industry events as required.

Desirable:

  • Experience with B2B sales and account management.
  • Knowledge of road sweeping equipment and industry standards.
  • Additional certifications or training in sales techniques or customer relationship management.
